FC Desamparados played against Aserrí FC on Saturday, October 1st at 2:00pm at the Estadio Jorge Hernán Cuty Monge. The game was open to public, the entrance had a cost of 2 mil colones and the final score was a tie by 2.
Aserrí FC came strong, opening the scoreboard in the 15th minute. On the other hand, FC Desamparados wasn’t able to score on their chances.
The second half came in a difficult weather to handle, as it was pouring rain. Along came the second goal for Aserrí FC in the 58th minute, placing FC Desamparados in an uphill situation.
Nevertheless, the Panamanian, Sergio Moreno, was able to score off from a corner kick in 65th minute, bringing back hope to the team. FC Desamparados began to push more as a defeat was non questionable, making the match become a really physical one.
Few minutes later, in the 69th minute, the team captain, Joram Fernández, received a red card after a tussle for the ball during a free kick.
It was until the last minutes of the game, when once again Moreno placed the ball on the back of the net. This was on the 88th minute, and even though it was not enough to give the home team the win, it gave them a tie.
Following the match, FC Desamparados will face Escorpiones de Belén on Sunday, October 9th. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00pm at the Polideportivo de Belén.
