Futbol Consultants Desamparados continue preparations for their upcoming Liga de Ascenso match against Santa Ana FC, scheduled for Monday, October 27 at 7:00 p.m. at the Estadio de Piedades. The game will be crucial in the team’s pursuit of the Group B leadership.
“We know it will be a tough match, but we’re working with a full squad and a clear game plan. Our goal is to take all three points to reclaim second place and stay in the fight for the top spot,” said head coach Luis Fallas.
The team has not seen action since October 3, when they earned a 2–1 home victory over Club Sport Uruguay. Following that win, the match against Aserrí was suspended due to weather conditions, and the subsequent fixture against Limón Black Star was also canceled, as the Caribbean side currently does not hold a competition license.
As a result, Consultants have remained focused on maintaining rhythm and intensity through continuous training sessions.
Currently sitting third in Group B with 14 points, one behind Santa Ana, the upcoming clash presents an excellent opportunity for Consultants to leapfrog their rivals by two points, while still having three games in hand. A victory would also keep the team within close reach of Escorpiones, the current group leaders.
Another positive note for the squad is the return of the three Cuban internationals — Yurdy Hodelin, Elvis Casanova, and Marcos Campos — following their participation in the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.
Additionally, Ian Badilla, fresh off his championship win with the Costa Rica U-16 National Team at the UNCAF Cup, has also rejoined the team and is available for selection.
