A new tournament began for FC Desamparados, the first challenge was to face Guadalupe FC, the current champion of the tournament. The match was held at the Ernesto Rohrmoser stadium in Pavas, San José.
The match began and from the beginning FC Desamparados looked better on the field, organized in defense and attacking intelligently, the chances began to arrive and it was at minute 21 when Héctor Vásquez scored the 0-1 on the scoreboard. In a corner kick at minute 35, defender Lemark Hernández put the score at 0-2.
FC Desamparados went to the break winning and being superior to the rival.
The second half began and at minute 51 Joshua Parra put the score at 0-3 in a great individual play, while Raúl López took a long-distance shot that was 0-4 on the scoreboard at minute 57.
With this result the match ends, FC Desamparados starts the tournament in a great way and adding the first three points. The next rival will be Municipal Turrialba at home.
