Matchday 10 of the tournament pitted Guadalupe and FC Desamparados, the match took place on Wednesday, September 18, at the José Joaquín “Colleya” Fonseca stadium at 6:00 pm. Guadalupe was the leader while FC Desamparados needed to score.
The match kicked off and immediately Guadalupe dominated the game, FC Desamparados tried to hold the zero at the back with a solid defense.
The Cuban goalkeeper Yurdy Hodelin was the star in the beginning of the match, saving the shots of the rival team, however, at minute 38 a shot from outside the area was unstoppable for the FC Desamparados goalkeeper and represented the 1-0 in favor of Guadalupe.
In the second half with tactical variations FC Desamparados tried to tie the game, but did not succeed, and on the contrary, in the 60th minute, Guadalupe scored the second goal.
Thus ended the game with the 3 points for the local team.
FC Desamparados will be back in action next Sunday, September 22nd at 1:00 pm when they host Turrialba.
