Consultants ended the first round of the tournament with an away match at Ebal Rodríguez Aguilar Stadium where they faced off against Limon Black Star. The weather deemed to be a crucial factor for both sides, as the temperature was exceedingly hot. The game started at 2:00 pm.
Limon attacked very aggressively from the start of the whistle, but Consultants were very strong in the back and managed to maintain a clean sheet in the first half. The first half was a very back and forth match, but it ended 0-0. At halftime, consultants made some changes in order to create chances on goal in hopes of scoring. In the 48th minute, consultants found a breakthrough as an attack on the left flank resulted in a goal by by Aniel Casanova. After the goal, Limon continued to press in search of a desperate equalizer. This finally came in the 82nd minute.
Consultants continued to press to find the match winning goal, but the game ended and both teams received cards. At the 90th minute plus 6 minutes additional time, the ref ended the match. This tie gave Consultants their first point of the season.
Consultants will play again next Wednesday, September 18th, at 6:00 pm sharp against a strong Guadalupe side at the José Joaquin “Colleya” Fonseca stadium.
