FC Desamparados took on Guadalupe FC at the Estadio Colleya Fonseca last Friday, October 6th at 1:00pm.
Desamparados was a visitor as they fell to Guadalupe FC 2-1 in their home field.
Before both teams jumped into their warm ups, it seemed as if it was going to be a hot weather throughout the game. However, once the teams were about to head into the field, a strong rain came rushing in.
FC Desamparados started brightly, and that saw them take the lead in the tenth minute after Randy Ramírez was able to cross the ball, the goalkeeper had a rebound and Justin Morales found the ball within the box and placed it on the back of the net.
Nevertheless, Guadalupe attempted to assert their dominance, and succeeded as they were able to tie the scoreboard only five minutes later.
The game continued with pouring rain and both teams attempting to assert their dominance. It was in the thirty-seventh minute that the home team, Guadalupe FC, was able to take the lead before half time.
Once second half started, the game continued at a high tempo with both teams attempting to secure the three points for the night.
Regardless of FC Desamparados efforts to score, they weren’t able to concrete their chances. The game continued until the 90 + 4’ minute and there was no change in the scoreboard. FC Guadalupe won in their home field 2 against 1.
Following the match, FC Desamparados will have their free date this weekend and will encounter Cariari Pococí on Sunday October 22nd, at the Estadio Communal de Cariari.
