FC Desamparados faced Uruguay Coronado on Saturday, March 25th at 3:00p, as a visitor at the Estadio Municipal el Labrador. FC Desamparados had in the starting line up, five under 21 players. In addition, the game was open to public and the final score was 3-0 in favor of the home team.
The game started off with a high intensity with both teams attempting to assert their dominance. Nevertheless, the home team was the first to strike in the 21st minute, opening the scoreboard.
Later on, the FC Desamparados goalkeeper, Alexandre Urbina made an outstanding penalty save. Yet, it was not enough as the home team scored once again in the 38th minute leaving the scoreboard at 2-0 in the first half.
Second half came in at a high tempo, were FC Desamparados attempted to score, yet were not able to concrete their chances.
Uruguay Coronado scored once again, leaving the final score at 3-0 on their favor.
FC Desamparados Sub 20’s players summed a lot of minutes, such as Alejandro Fonseca, Luis Vera, Alejandro Arenas and Andrés Pereira, who played 90 minutes. As well as Randy Ramírez, who played 75 minutes and Benjamin Ocampo who played 67 minutes.
These Under 21 players keep showing off their great skills in the Costa Rican Second Division, playing against players twice their age. FC Desamparados continues to give minutes and trusting the process of these youth players.
Following the match, FC Desamparados will encounter San Jose FC as a visitor on Friday march 31st, at 2:00pm on the Estadio Ernesto Rohrmoser.
