FC Desamparados officially hired their new coach, Luis Carlos Arias. After being the assistant coach for the first team, Arias has now taken the role to lead the team this upcoming season.
Based on an interview made to Arias, the team has been working hard and at a high intensity to prepare for this upcoming season, “We know this will be a tough season, we have a lot of young players and we will encounter highly experienced players,” Arias said.
He continued, “We understand that are highest virtue will be the intensity, the speed, the ball possession, and trying to subdue the rivals with those type of objectives.”
Arias explained the training sessions have been good and the scrimmages the team has played have been useful. The new head coach described how the team has been preparing, “We have been working a lot on the idea of being a compact, intense and balanced team, and the players understood it well. They have been working with a high energy and attitude. They trust the philosophy the team has been trying to implement,” Arias said.
He expressed once again how this season will not be easy and will require a lot of effort, however, that’s a challenge the team is ready to face. He said, “It’s going to be a complicated and tough season. Therefore, we need to be aware, clear, manage the tactical aspects, and always understands that the games have to be played until the last minute.”
He continued, “The games are going to be complicated, as well as the rivals, and we need to prepare really well on that idea.”
