FC Desamparados played against Uruguay Coronado on Saturday, October 15th at 2:00pm at their home field, Estadio Jorge Hernán Cuty Monge. The game was open to public and the final score was 2-0 in favor of the home team, FC Desamparados.
This was a highly important game for FC Desamparados, as they depended on winning those three points in order to still have a chance to make it to the next round.
The home team opened the scoreboard in the 17th minute off from a corner kick and a header inside the box by the midfielder, Davis Paniagua. The rest of the first half was high intensity, yet there was no change in the scoreboard.

Second half kept the same energy, along with a lot of options for an Uruguay Coronado that wasn’t able to finish. Also, second half came in with heavy rain, making it a highly physical game.
It was until the 83rd minute when the forward, Alejandro Ruiz, was able to place the ball on the back of the net, scoring the second and last goal of the game.
