FC Desamparados was meant to play against Limón Blackstar on Sunday, September 18th at 2:00pm on the Estadio Juan Gobán. However, the team encountered transportation issues along the way to Limón, causing the game to be rescheduled for the next day.
The game was played on Monday, September 19th at 2:00pm on the Estadio Juan Gobán. The game was open to public, the weather was at 34 degrees celsius and the stadium was full of fans. The final score was 2-0.
Both teams had a lot of options to score in the first half. FC Desamparados had over three free kicks outside the box that wasn’t able to place on the back go the net.
The first half continued to played at a high intensity and high heat, yet there was no goals scored.
However, on the second half Limón Blackstar came strong and scored two quick goals. The first on the 47th minute, and the second on the 49th minute.
The game continued to be high on emotions with a very active and engaging public on the stands. Nevertheless, FC Desamparados wasn’t able to score and there was no change on the scoreboard.
