FC Desamparados tied last Saturday, August 27th, against CS Uruguay Coronado. The final score was of 1-1, where FC Desamparados earned a valuable point as a visitor.
The game was played at the Estadio Municipal El Labrador, a field that was previously described as “complicated” by players and coaches from FC Desamparados due to its poor conditions.
Therefore, earning a point in such a tough field is a big win for FC Desamparados.
CS Uruguay Coronado opened the scoring in a corner kick in the 22nd minute after an opponent headed the ball inside the box.
The game kept on going back and forth, being a highly physical and intense game for both teams. No more goals were scored on the first half.
It was until the 62nd minute that FC Desamparados was able to tie to game. The U20 player, Andrey Salmerón, took an extraordinary shot outside the box and placing the ball towards the back of the net.
FC Desamparados kept attacking and creating chances to score, however, they weren’t able to finish on goal.
