This upcoming Wednesday, August 24th, FC Desamparados will be playing their second home game of the season against Escorpiones de Belén.
The game will be played on the Jorge Hernán “Cuty” Monge Stadium at 11:00am. The game will be open to public and the tickets have a cost of 3,000 mil colones.
After last week’s game, the team has been working hard to prepare their encounter against Escorpiones de Belén.
On an interview made to the forward and last game’s goal-scorer, Fabricio Venegas, he expressed this upcoming game will be a challenging one. “It’s going to be a really tight game, as they also have a good team, handle well the possession of the ball and have a similar style of play as ours,” he said.
Regardless, FC Desamparados is choosing to focus on their own performance, “We do not focus as much in our rival but rather focus on what we do as a team. If we are all synched, the team will perform well,” Venegas said.
He continued, “The team has been preparing well. These last practices have been really intense and high energy. Each player knows their role and what they’re supposed to do on field. This is why I believe the team is strong and confident regardless of the result of previous games.”
Venegas finished by saying that whatever happened on the past cannot be changed, but now they’re choosing to move forward because they want to win the upcoming 3 points.
