The newly incorporated player, Dangelo Dunn, made his debut with FC Desamparados last Thursday August 11th, when the team played and won their second away game against Municipal Santa Ana at the Rafael Bolaños Stadium.
Dunn has had a vast trajectory in the Costa Rican Football, where he grew as a player in different youth teams. He started off in Limón FC, went to Uruguay de Coronado, continued to Guadalupe and finished his youth process in Liga Deportiva Alajuelense.
Later on, he made his debut in the Costa Rican Liga de Ascenso with Barrio México FC, a team that is no longer part of the Second Division league.
Last Thursday, Dunn had the opportunity to debut with FC Desamparados the same day of his birthday. Dunn describes his debut as an awesome experience and a really special day for him. “My debut with FC Desamparados was the same day of my birthday, so I took it as a gift,” Dunn said.
Even though he is aware there is a lot of players and talent in the roster, he is grateful for the opportunity and for the coaches’ trust in him, “I believe it’s not easy. There is a lot of players and all have a really good level. Therefore, the fact that the coach took me into consideration will always be extremely important for me,” Dunn explained.
Dunn continued by explaining his gratefulness, where he hopes to have more opportunities in upcoming games. He said, “Also, I hope I can continue contributing to the team, so we can reach our common goal of ascending to First Division.”
