First at Sporting Braga (Portugal) and then at Betis, Sevilla (Spain). The last 15 days were very intense for Ricardo Peña, who did a couple of internships in Europe leaving very good impressions.
Peña was invited by the Portuguese and the Spanish to practice with their teams. According to the Board of Directors of Consultants, both the European technical and administrative staff made positive comments about the players’ performance.
“In Europe you play and practice at another level. I’ve already had the opportunity to be in other countries, such as Germany, and there’s a significant difference. So, on my return to Costa Rica I want to put into practice everything I saw there,” said Peña.
With only 17 years of age, Peña has not only become a key player for Consultants in the second division league of Costa Rica, but he has also become a determining factor for the U-20 National Team.
“Everything that’s applied in the club must also be done in the National Team. I’m working hard to be on the final list of the Concacaf Tournament and then earn a spot to go to the World Cup”, added the midfielder.
Peña has already returned to Costa Rica, however, both Sporting Braga and Betis are interested in the player.
