Futbol Consultants players, Andrey Salmerón “Gato” and Ricardo Peña, were called up to the U-20 Costa Rica National Team for the Concacaf Tournament that will take place in Honduras.
Both players have been very important for the coach Vladimir Quesada, who has high confidence in the boys.
“I am very proud to have the chance of representing Costa Rica and will try to reach our goal of being in the World Cup. That is one of my objectives this year”, Peña said.
Costa Rica is in Group H of the tournament and will face Jamaica (June 18th), Antigua and Barbuda (June 20th) and Honduras (June 22th). To advance to the round of 16, La Sele needs to be among the top three in the group, and to qualify for the World Cup Indonesia 2023, they must at least reach the semifinals.
“It is going to be complicated, but we have a very good team and I know we can make it to the World Cup. We have prepared with our teams and the National Team to reach our goals”, mentioned Salmerón.
Gato and Richi will concentrate from this week with the Tricolor.
