Benjamín Ocampo and Alejandro Arenas, players from Futbol Consultants, spent a week practicing in the United States with the MLS team, Philadelphia Union. This is some of the opportunities that we offer for the growth of our soccer players.
After showing a great level with our youth team, they were directly invited by the American club.
“For me it is a new experience. I learned a lot about MLS soccer and was able to see up close the difference in the intensity of play. I hope I can apply what I’ve learned and that this experience allow me to contribute more and help my teammates”, said Ocampo.
On the other hand, Arenas said he took advantage of every practice in Philadelphia, in order to improve and pursue his goal of playing at an international level.
“We realized that in the international leagues we have to compete at a higher level if we want to be professional players. Everything that we experienced during these days in the USA gives us another perspective and now we return to the club with a great desire to contribute”, mentioned Arenas.
Arenas and Ocampo already returned to Costa Rica and are available for the preseason work with coach Edson Soto.
