Futbol Consultants qualified for the quarterfinals of the Liga de Ascenso in the last game of the regular phase, after defeating Turrialba 5-2 at the Cuty Monge stadium.
Joram Fernández made the first goal of the match. The captain got up in the area to head the ball sent by Sergio Moreno just in the 19th minute.
Despite the fact that Consultants were left with a player less due to the sending off of Tommy Muñoz, the team will increase the advantage a minute before the end of the first half.
After a great personal play by Bryan Astúa, the Panamanian Moreno took advantage of the rebound to push the ball and make it 2-0.
In the second half, the boys maintained the intensity in the game and at 51′ Randy Ramírez converted a great pass from Andrey Salmerón to make it 3-1 on the scoreboard.
Three minutes later, Turrialba discounted with a goal by Estiven Ramos, but Consultants reacted and increased the account again after a recovery by Salmerón. The “10” passed the ball to Moreno who easily defined and made it 4-1.
“Pana” was one of the most active players in the game, he was even chosen as the best of the day by the Liga de Ascenso. On Consultants’ last goal, Moreno sent a precise pass to Christian Muñoz, who with a strong shot from outside the box increased the lead to 5-1.
Finally, Turrialba managed to make up the result a bit with a goal from Jorge Muñoz.
