Futbol Consultants visited the Ebal Rodríguez stadium in Guápiles with the intention of qualifying for the quarterfinals, but the 2-0 defeat against Cariari meant that everything had to be decided in the last match against Turrialba.
The Caribbean squad took the lead in the first half in the 34th minute and increased the lead in the 54th minute.
Despite the loss, Consultants still have a chance of qualifying for the quarterfinals. The team must defeat Turrialba next Sunday, April 10th at 3 p.m. at the Cuty Monge stadium and also wait for a series of results within the group to determine the position in the table.
Currently, FCD sits fifth place with 20 points. Santa Ana is the leader of the group with 28 pts, followed by Aserrí (23 pts), Uruguay (23 pts) and Cariari (22 pts).
