Futbol Consultants Desamparados (FCD) managed to draw a difficult match against Aserrí (1 – 1) thanks to an clinical goal scored by Panamanian Sergio Moreno last Friday at the Jorge “Cuty” Monge Stadium.
The start of the game was painful for Consultants, as the visiting team took the lead from the 7th minute after Gustavo Campos scored, despite the very good effort of goalkeeper Alexandre Urbina.
With the goal against, FCD threw everything into the attack and created chances towards the rival box, however, it was not possible to break Aserrí’s defensive barrier.
In the second half, Consultants came out with an even more offensive mentality.
The entrance of players like Benjamín Ocampo, Randy Ramírez and Sergio Moreno allowed the team’s dominance to be intense from start to finish.
In fact, a shot from long distance by Ocampo was close to entering and equalizing, but fate would bring justice to our boys at the end of the match.
When the clock showed 90+4′, a cross from Andrey Salmerón fell into the box so that Moreno put the tip of his foot and deflected the ball towards the net.
That goal meant an important point for the team and it is also the first scored by the Panamanian with the Consultants’ shirt.
At this moment, our boys are in fifth position in the table with 13 points and on the next match they will face C.S. Uruguay that has 15 points in the fourth spot.
The game will take place at Labrador Stadium on Wednesday, March 9 at 7 p.m. (Costa Rica time) and will be broadcast on television through the TD Más channel.
