Futbol Consultants secured an important 3-1 victory against Cariari last Saturday at the Cuty Monge stadium and moved closer to the top four positions in the group.
The first goal of the game was scored by Bryan Astúa in the 16th minute after a long run that left him face to face with the rival goalkeeper and then calmly finished.
The goal gave the team a lot of confidence, which, little by little, began to create more scoring opportunities.
In one of those chances, Andrey Salmerón managed to send a cross into the area that Tommy Muñoz closed to make the score 2-0 in the 29th minute.
After the break, Consultants started with the same energy in the second half and Christian Muñoz’s goal came at 47′.
The midfielder took advantage of a free kick in front of the area to put the ball where no one could reach it and made the scoreline 3-0.
The rival team reacted at 61’ after the referee called a penalty and the Cariari player Anderson Nuñez was in charge of scoring.
With the three points in our pocket, our team reached 9 points and came within just two points of fourth place (Golfito 11 pts).
This Wednesday we will have a difficult game against Turrialba at 3 p.m. at the Rafael Angel Camacho stadium.
