In matchday #10, Futbol Consultants secured an important 1 – 1 draw in its away fixture against A.D. Aserrí. This result allows the team to continue fighting for qualification to the quarterfinals.
The game started difficult for our boys, after a goal in the first minute by Ariel Viegas put the local team up on the scoreboard.
Our Head Coach, Edson Soto, managed to keep the team calm,despite the poor start, and encouraged the squad to seek a tie.
In the 37th minute we tied the score line when Tommy Muñoz took advantage of a magnificent assist from Roger Vargas.
In the second half, the match became more difficult due to heavy rain. Despite several decent attempts by Consultants to take the lead, the go-ahead goal never hit the back of the net.
It should be noted that this match marked the debut for 18-year-old forward, Airon Sánchez, raised in our academies and is the eighth player to make his debut for our team during this tournament.
With this valuable draw away, Consultants reached 13 points, just two below the qualifying zone.
The next game will be against CS Uruguay de Coronado at our home, the Jorge Hernán Cuty Monge stadium in Desamparados at 11 a.m.
