In a highly disputed match, Futbol Consultants got an important victory against Barrio México on Saturday at the Cuty Monge stadium, in Desamparados.
With seven players under the age of 21 in the starting line-up, including Alejandro Fonseca’s debut, Consultants always tried to bring danger to the rival goal.
However, it was Barrio México the team that took the lead by Jonathan Hansen, from the penalty spot at minute 35.
Consultants reacted immediately through Roger Vargas who shot from outside the box and scored his first professional goal at 41’.
Although the joy for our team did not last long because the “mexicanistas” were back in front of the scoreboard by Luis Miguel Valle’s goal at 43’.
In the second half we did not give up and our team keep on trying to score and putting high pressure; with 9 minutes to go, Jairo Arrieta appeared to put the 2-2 on the scoreboard and with only 4 minutes left to finish the game, Arrieta scored his second goal of the afternoon to put the final 3-2.
In addition to the three points, in this game we added 650 minutes played by Under 21 players, being so far the game in which we have accumulated the most.
